The Faculty of Science: Department of Environmental Health requires the services of part-time Lecturers for day classes at the Pretoria Campus.
Critical Performance areas:
- Preparing and conducting lecturers
- Advanced presentation skills (online and Face to Face)
- Use myTUTor (Brightspace) virtual learning environment to enhance the teaching and learning experience.
- Setting and marking of all assessments.
- Participating in all departmental meetings and subject meetings
- General administration such as capturing test and assignment marks, and uploading documents on myTUTor
- Consultation and interaction with industry where necessary
- Student consultation

Minimum Requirements
- Master’s degree relating to any of the fields below.
- Study record with major subjects
- Three (3) years of teaching and/or research experience at a tertiary institution will be required and/or industry-related experience.
- Proficiency in MS Office Packages (Microsoft Word/Excel/ PowerPoint, Sharepoint, Teams) and other relevant computer programs in the TUT environment.
- Full proficiency in English is a prerequisite.
- Registration with the HPCSA as an Environmental Health Practitioner is compulsory for the following subjects: CDV206P, IDE206P, WQW307P, and OHS307P. Regarding other subjects registration or membership with a professional body will be an added advantage.
- Completion of a TUT License to teach program is compulsory.
