The Specialist Project Management Programme (SPMP) is a seven-module short learning program at NQF level 6 that includes lectures, group discussions, case studies, and role plays.

BACCALAUREUS TECHNOLOGIAE: PROJECT MANAGEMENT
1: Admission requirement(s):
An applicable National Diploma or an equivalent qualification.
2: Selection criteria:
Admission is subject to selection by a panel interview.
3: Recommendation:
Preference will be given to applicants who are working in a project environment.
4: Minimum duration:
One year (the Department recommends that studies for this qualification take place over a
period of two years).
5: Presentation:
Evening or block-mode classes (every second week over eighteen months).
Students must complete the qualification on the same offering type on which they were first
admitted.
6: Intake for the qualification: January only.
7: Exclusion and readmission:

8: Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL), equivalence, and status:

ADVANCED DIPLOMA IN PROJECT MANAGEMENT
Admission requirement(s):
a diploma, national diploma, or other qualification at NQF 6 with a minimum of 360 credits that are equivalent to any subject of study. Candidates with at least two years of project management experience will be given preference.
Selection criteria:
Selection is a requirement for admission. All applications that are received by the deadline will be examined and ranked based on the cumulative average of all third-year topics. According to the Departmental Student Enrolment Plan (SEP), only the best applicants will be chosen. The results of the selection will be announced on departmental notice boards and sent to applicants via email in January.
