TUT Vacancies for 2025-2026
Tshwane University of Technology is pleased to announce the implementation of DHET’s ‘New Generation of Academics’Programme (nGAP). A permanent academic post will be established as a result of the nGAP, which aims to support TUT’s staffing transformation and capacity needs. The selected candidate will take part in a 6-year comprehensive development and induction program before continuing as a regular member of the academic staff at TUT.

Who is qualified to apply for the nGAP Lecturer Labour Relations Management position
The university has defined the following requirements that applicants must fulfill to be considered for selection for a nGAP post.
- Show interest in becoming an academic
- Obtained Master’s degree in Labour Relations with 70% pass average.
- Be 40 years or younger
- Show evidence of eligibility to undertake postgraduate study at the Doctoral level
- Be willing to commit to placement at the appointing university for the full 6 years of the Programme
- At least 80% of the position will be allocated to African, colored, Indian South African citizens and 55% must be female.
Critical Performance Areas
- Teaching and learning labor relation modules on the diploma, advanced diploma, post-graduate, master, and doctoral levels;
- Participation in research groups;
- Participation in the development of labor curriculums, and current and new projects.
- Liaising with industry and other stakeholders regarding collaborations, research, and community projects with the supervision of a mentor
Minimum requirements for the following fields
- A relevant Master`s degree (NQF9) in the field of Labor relations or a Doctoral degree in Labour Relations.
- At least 70% of the average pass for a master’s degree.
