TUT Agriculture Sciences
As the challenges and opportunities in the agricultural sector continue to grow, so does the demand for skilled professionals. The Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) recognizes the importance of agriculture and offers a comprehensive range of Agriculture Sciences programs. In this article, we will explore how TUT Agriculture Sciences can empower you to become a key player in the agrarian revolution and contribute to a sustainable future.
The Department follows a holistic approach to education, which results in graduates who are able and confident to start a career, immediately, because they have both theoretical and practical experience. Practical experience is gained through experiential learning, which forms an integral part of all courses. Experiential learning allows students to apply and develop skills in their field of work under the close supervision of proficient and experienced people in the industry.
Not all agricultural students come from a farming background. Therefore, a fully equipped Skills Centre is available to teach students how to use farm equipment, such as tractors and crop production implements, and how to do basic electrical welding and basic workshop tools. You do not need to look any further if you wish to enter the world of Agricultural Science, a National Diploma, B Tech degree, and even a master’s degree or doctorate are within your reach at TUT and will prepare you for a bright future.
